Product Description

The Globetec Unit Trust Scheme (GUTS) is an umbrella collective investment scheme managed by Globetec Asset Managers Limited and regulated by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA). The Scheme pools funds from investors and invests them in professionally managed portfolios, providing access to a diversified range of investment opportunities across various asset classes. GUTS comprises six funds denominated in Kenya Shillings (KES) and United States Dollars (USD), each designed to meet different investment objectives, from capital preservation and regular income generation to long-term capital appreciation. The Scheme is managed in accordance with the Capital Markets (Collective Investment Schemes) Regulations, 2023 and the Trust Deed.

Globetec Money Market Fund (KES)

The Globetec Money Market Fund aims to provide a reasonable level of return while preserving capital and maintaining a high level of liquidity. The Fund invests primarily in high-quality money market instruments, including Treasury Bills, Government Securities, Commercial Papers, Call Deposits, Fixed Deposits and other approved money market instruments. It is suitable for investors seeking a low-risk investment with easy access to their funds.

Globetec Fixed Income Fund (KES)

The Globetec Fixed Income Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation and income growth through investment in a diversified portfolio of fixed income securities. The Fund predominantly invests in Government securities, Treasury Bonds, Corporate Bonds, Commercial Papers and other approved fixed income instruments. The portfolio is actively managed to optimise returns while maintaining prudent risk management.

Globetec Multi-Asset Special Fund (KES)

The Globetec Multi-Asset Special Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation and income growth through investment in a diversified portfolio across multiple asset classes. The Fund invests in equities, fixed income securities, commodities and foreign exchange currencies, enabling investors to benefit from diversification while balancing risk and return through active asset allocation.

Globetec Dollar Money Market Fund (USD)

The Globetec Dollar Money Market Fund aims to provide competitive returns while preserving capital and maintaining liquidity through investment in high-quality U.S. dollar-denominated money market instruments. The Fund is suitable for investors seeking short-term investment opportunities in U.S. dollars while maintaining easy access to their investments.

Globetec Dollar Fixed Income Fund (USD)

The Globetec Dollar Fixed Income Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation and income growth through investment in a diversified portfolio of U.S. dollar-denominated fixed income securities. The Fund primarily invests in government and corporate debt securities and other approved fixed income instruments, providing investors with exposure to income-generating USD-denominated assets.

Globetec Dollar Multi-Asset Special Fund (USD)

The Globetec Dollar Multi-Asset Special Fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation and income growth through investment in a diversified portfolio of U.S. dollar-denominated securities across multiple asset classes. The Fund invests in fixed income securities, commodities, foreign exchange currencies and offshore listed investments, providing diversified exposure to global investment opportunities through a professionally managed portfolio.
